When Amy was just seven years old, she was absolutely thrilled that her family moved right next door to a farm–complete with horses, chickens, goats, and even a rooster. She was in heaven! Growing up in Connecticut, her family always had Scottish Terriers, but experiencing farm life is where her love for animals truly began.

When she got older, she volunteered at the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, walking German Shepherd puppies. Realizing what a privilege it is to help those in need, she went on to volunteer at a stable that provided horse therapy for mentally challenged children.

Amy had a rewarding career in the medical field working as a medical technician and phlebotomist. Now happily retired, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and children and pampering their three rescue dogs.
