Deb

Deb has spent all her life in the presence of animals, large and small, while on the extended family’s dairy farm in Iredell County. She has had a family dog in her life since the age of 10, and she and her husband, Rob, currently have a rescue Plott Hound named Cally. Deb is also an avid horsewoman, having owned four horses during her adult life, continuing to ride as often as possible, and volunteering at the North Carolina Therapeutic Riding Center in Mebane as a horse leader.

A native North Carolinian, Deb is a long-time Triangle resident and UNC triple alumna. She has spent the last 15 years working as a faculty member and administrator in the School of Education at UNC Chapel Hill. Deb recently retired from UNC to enjoy a bit slower paced life with her husband and daughter, Kate. She hopes to spend a lot of it in the beautiful outdoors of our Triangle area.
