Throughout her life, Thilini has always had a deep passion for caretaking both humans and animals. She grew up in Chapel Hill, and in high school, she started her own pet sitting business for pets in her neighborhood.  Then, she spent three months in Greece working on farms, caring for dogs, cats, cows, goats, and chickens.

She continued to cultivate her passion for nurturing at UNC-Chapel Hill, earning a degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a focus on Child and Maternal Health. Currently a graduate student at UNC’s Medical School, she is completing a dual degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling.

When not studying or caring for pets, Thilini is likely hiking with her beloved pup Otis, a rescue turned service dog.
