Walk & Wag and Coronavirus

Dear Walk & Wag Clients,

With growing concern surrounding coronavirus [COVID-19] across our community, it is our mission to provide the quality pet care services you need while keeping you, our team and the pets we love healthy and safe.

Our team members have always used best practices regarding cleanliness but have increased their vigilance by doing everything that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] recommends as well as using their own leashes, wiping off doorknobs, keypads, counters, light switches and more. We will continue to monitor the CDC’s recommendations. For more information on the latest safety suggestions, we encourage you to visit the CDC website.

Local Impact

COVID-19 is having a major economic impact on all of us. It is especially hitting those in the service industry like your professional pet sitters and dog walkers.

I realize many of you may not know that our incredible team, while having varied backgrounds, made the decision to become professional pet sitters/dog walkers due to their love of pets. For many, this is a full-time career and only source of income.

For 10 years, Walk & Wag has managed through snow, ice, hurricanes and many other uncontrollable events, but COVID-19 is like nothing we’ve ever seen. Walk & Wag has provided the highest quality pet care in our community, and we hope to weather this storm, as well.

If you are in a position to do so, please consider the following:

1) Continue your regularly scheduled services;
2) Add/keep services if you are working from home to avoid disrupting your workday and pet’s routine;
3) Consider paying a portion of cancelled services;
4) Provide a gratuity to your team member;
5) Recommend Walk & Wag to friends/family members and write an online review:

Team members can also provide pet taxi services to and from the vet, or bring you pet food and supplies.

If you are interested in any of these options and would like more information, please email me at lisa@walkandwagchapelhill.com.

As always, Walk & Wag will be there for you and your pet now and in the future. A big thank you to those clients who have done the above, and please know, we appreciate all of you and look forward to walking and wagging in a world without COVID-19.

With gratitude,

Lisa M. Kang
