Walk & Wag and Coronavirus

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect the livelihoods, safety, and routines of many in our local community, Walk & Wag has stayed committed to our mission of providing quality pet sitting services for our clients and their pets.

Our team members have always used best practices regarding cleanliness but have increased their vigilance by doing everything that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] recommends, as well as using their own leashes, wiping off doorknobs, keypads, counters, light switches, and more. We continue to monitor the CDC’s recommendations. For more information on the latest safety suggestions, we encourage you to visit the CDC website.

COVID-19 Certification

Walk & Wag owner, Lisa Kang, has received COVID-19 Certification for Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers from Pet Sitters International.

Lisa has taken this step to educate herself and the Walk & Wag team on best practices during and after this pandemic.

This certification enables Lisa to make responsible and well-informed decisions around pet-sitting services to ensure the health and safety of pets, clients, and team members while providing the quality pet sitting services our clients need.

Local Impact

COVID-19 continues to have a major economic impact on all of us. It has especially hit those in the service industry, like your professional pet sitters and dog walkers.

Our incredible team, while having varied backgrounds, made the decision to become professional pet sitters/dog walkers due to their love of pets. For many, this is a full-time career and only source of income.

For 10 years, Walk & Wag has managed through snow, ice, hurricanes, and many other uncontrollable events, but COVID-19 is like nothing we’ve ever seen. Walk & Wag has provided the highest quality pet care in our community, and we hope to weather this storm, as well.
