Walk & Wag and COVID-19

UPDATE

The entire Walk & Wag team is fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

We are committed to doing all we can to ensure the health and safety of pets, clients, and team members.

Our COVID-19 Protocols

Pet Sitter Visits

All Walk & Wag team members are required to:

  • Wear protective masks [N95 or KN95 preferred] when in client’s home or any indoor space – we ask clients to do the same
  • Wash hands and/or use hand sanitizer before, during, and after each visit
  • Limit touching surfaces [objects, doors, counters, etc.] to what is needed to care for pets
  • Only enter rooms necessary for the visit
  • Practice social distancing [staying at least 6 feet apart] during dog walks or if anyone is home during a pet visit

Meet & Greets

  • Staff and anyone present at this meeting must wear a mask
  • Staff will keep 6 feet apart from anyone in the home
  • When possible, the Meet & Greet will be conducted outside

Team Member Requirements

  • Proof of vaccination upon request
  • Negative test results after traveling or possible exposure

CDC Guidelines

Our team members have always used best practices regarding cleanliness but have increased their vigilance by doing everything that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] recommends, as well as using their own leashes, wiping off doorknobs, keypads, counters, light switches, and more. We continue to monitor the CDC’s recommendations. For more information on the latest safety suggestions, we encourage you to visit the CDC website.

Walk & Wag has received COVID-19 Certification from Pet Sitters International to be educated on best practices during and after this pandemic.

This certification enables Lisa and the team to make responsible and well-informed decisions around pet-sitting services to ensure the health and safety of pets, clients, and team members while providing the quality pet sitting services our clients need.

Schedule Service

In addition to dog walks and pet sitting services, team members can also provide pet taxi services to and from the vet or bring you pet food and supplies. If you are interested in any of these options and would like more information, please email Lisa at lisa@walkandwagchapelhill.com or click here for our contact form.

As always, Walk & Wag will be there for you and your pet now and in the future.
