Since adopting her first black Lab at a young age, Francis developed a deep connection with animals, especially dogs. This bond grew stronger as she sought out volunteer work – from walking dogs at the Humane Society to maintaining the grounds of a horse rescue farm.

After building a career in mortgage lending, Francis pivoted to animal advocacy. She hopes to one day partner with a nonprofit to create a sanctuary for neglected animals.

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Francis enjoys a good run, taking day trips to the beach with a self-help book, and playing fetch with her ball-obsessed Boston Terrier mix, Phoenix. She can also be found in the kitchen with her pug, Koa, channeling her passions for mindful living and plant-based cooking into delicious recipes – of course, always paying the carrot tax to Koa!
