Raised in upstate New York and on the coast of Massachusetts, Amy has called Chapel Hill home for 24 years. She was born into a family of animal lovers – from Labs, Spaniels, and Goldens to fish, hamsters, rabbits, ducks, horses, and snapping turtles (which prepared her well to raise her four sons). This all translates to lots of experience brushing fluffy tummies full of burdocks, careful tick exams of flopping ears, post-run-in-with-a-skunk baths, and cleaning folds and eyes.

In addition to being mama to a 4-year-old English Bulldog named Boberry Biscuit and his 5-year-old sister Izzie, Amy is also the proud grandma to three kitties and auntie to every pet she meets. For years, she and her black Lab Lily worked at Townsend Bertram in Carrboro, and she is thrilled for the opportunity to make new pet friends.

When not snuggling furry friends, Amy enjoys spending her time outdoors, laughing with family, or fighting over couch space with her doggos.
