From a young age, Dixon was taught to have deep respect and compassion for all animals, taking great care of his family’s pets, including hamsters and two cats.

In high school, Dixon discovered his passion for working with animals while taking a two-year veterinary science course. This experience paved the way for his diverse roles in pet care, working as a pet groomer and canine coach. Although he has held various positions in the food industry, nothing compares to the joy of earning a living by spending time with furry friends.

Dixon and his Shepinois, Oskar—a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix—recently completed training at American K-9 Interdiction, earning certification as an explosive detection team. While Oskar is highly trained, his current job is simply to be loved and enjoy playtime with best pal, Dixon.
