Growing up in Charlotte, Irene always had a house full of animals – dogs both big and small, cats, fish, and even turtles! She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in May 2020 with Bachelor’s Degrees in Biology and Exercise and Sports Science. She’s currently working at the hospital as a Nursing Assistant, with the hopes of enrolling in a Physician Assistant Program in the next few years.

Irene has previous experience as a pet sitter and worked as a dog walker for the Orange County Animal Shelter. In her free time, she trains medical alert and mobility assistance dogs for Eyes Ears Nose and Paws. You can often find her working with the pups in public places or going on walks or hikes around Chapel Hill. While she loves to stay active, Irene is always up for a nice snuggle on the couch with her dogs.
