Kat

Kat grew up in Chapel Hill surrounded by pets – a cat, dogs, hermit crabs, and White’s Tree Frogs – and she’s put this experience to good use as an avid pet sitter. She walks dogs of all sizes and breeds and cares for cats, farm animals, and a variety of other critters, including senior pets and special needs animals.

As a faithful volunteer with Eyes Ears Nose and Paws, a local organization that trains medical alert and mobility assistance dogs, Kat is part of the litter care and furlough training teams.

With a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Geosciences and a minor in Environmental Studies from Oberlin College, Kat works as a research assistant for an animal behavioral ecology lab at UNC-Chapel Hill, and she also teaches dance classes. In her free time, Kat enjoys rock climbing, trivia nights, and live music around Chapel Hill.
