Rudy
As a kid in Florida, Rudy loved growing up around the abundant wildlife. His dad even taught him how to catch lizards and snakes in the park. At one point, Rudy basically had a mini zoo in his room – with two snakes, an iguana, five praying mantises, millipedes, beetles, a black widow, and of course, a dog. To nurture his appreciation for invertebrates, he also volunteered at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences Arthropod Zoo.
After completing Veterinary Technology courses at Miller-Motte College, Rudy landed his first job in the field in 2018. He has worked as a kennel assistant lead, ER technician, general practice room technician, and now as an Internal Medicine Technician at Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospital. In addition to clients’ pets, Rudy also looks after his childhood dog, Max, who is like a little brother to him.
